The Twitchy Feet Club Presents… The Acoustic River Sessions

The second Twitchy Feet Club fundraising music event will be held on board York Boat’s ‘Captain James Cook’ on Sunday 2nd February, 2014. The boat, a much underused venue on the York music scene, has a fully licensed bar, enclosed upper deck and toilets. The three hour cruise will sail from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Three fantastic acoustic acts from York are performing: Andy Stones, Simon Snaize and The Peacock Suits.

The event was a great success and tickets were sold out!! Thank you to everyone who gave their time to support us. We raised over £700 for Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation and our Safer Travel App!

The event is raising money for the Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation Safer Travel App. Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation is a registered UK charity based in York who strives to increase awareness of the importance of travel safety to young people. The purpose of the event is for people to enjoy excellent, live, local music whilst raising money for this worthy cause.

The Acoustic River Sessions presents…

Andy Stones

Andy Stones is a singer/songwriter and guitarist, born and raised in Yorkshire’s capital city, York. He started playing the guitar and writing songs at the age of 14, and now, almost 19 years on, Andy has gained a wealth of experience playing the acoustic music scene all around the north of England. He has made various appearances on local and regional radio as well as performing at the BBC’s Television Centre, as part of a band drafted in for a well-known TV show’s wrap-party.

Simon Snaize

Simon Snaize is an incredibly well-respected professional musician with twenty years of experience as a performer, singer-songwriter, producer, and session player.

He is the writer, lead singer and guitar player in Van Der Neer, one part of the acoustic duo Keegan Snaize. He adds fuel to the fire that is the alchemical blues infused Retro Acoustic, sometimes sits in with gypsy jazz maniacs Jazzmando and he also plays as a solo performer.

He has toured and had music released in New Zealand, played in Holland with Heather Findlay and Fish from Marillion and won awards for his music production work in New Mexico for Kiko Peters. He also played guitar on the first album released by The Yards, fronted by Chris Helme.

The Peacock Suits

A York-based acoustic duo with over ten years’ experience of gigging in bands. Since 2010, they have been performing covers of classic indie and rock and the odd forgotten favourite, using acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies. Guaranteed to get your feet twitching.
